As a self-taught artist living in Los Angeles, Macsorro, is stirring the pot with his take on the pop surrealist movement. Gaining inspiration from artists like Jan Van Eyck, Hieronymus Bosch, and Mark Ryden, Macsorro is able to create imaginative paintings that often contain a light-hearted mashup of societies foibles. His style is riddled with personal and profound symbolic imagery. He shows his artwork in California, New York, Rome, Italy and Japan later in 2012.

"The Noode Man. Annuit cœptis"
Hi guys,
News about new work. I am glad to be part of a great show at Copro Gallery, starting next Friday.
Opening Reception, (NEW DATE) Friday, July 29 , 8:00 – 11:30 p.m.
Dates: Exhibit runs; July 29 – August 6, 2011 with an early web preview available July 23
Contact: Gary Pressman, Gallery - Director Copro Gallery
My contribution is this oil painting. The "noodle man" character, Abraham Lincoln, was tough to paint since every single one of his suits squares was individually painted. The spokes of his bicycle drove my eyes bonkers too, but it was totally worth the long hours.
